Health Information Technology (HIT), such as Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), have the potential to improve patient quality of care. The goal of the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) is to help ensure HIT has a positive impact on physicians, patients, and practices by enhancing quality of care, patient safety, and practice viability.
MSMS works with its members to understand the importance of health information technologies and how to meet federal and state programs. MSMS works with stakeholders across Michigan to ensure the physician perspective is a part of the ongoing growth and expansion in HIT initiatives impacting a practice.
