With just 18 days to go before Election Day, the Michigan Doctors’ Political Action Committee (MDPAC) urges all physicians in the state to be well-informed before casting their ballots. For information on how, when, and where to vote, the Michigan Secretary of State website provides official information.
The Michigan Doctors’ PAC has also released its slate of endorsed candidates, which provides a helpful guide to medicine-friendly candidates for offices across the state. Endorsements are made by the MDPAC Board of Directors based on a range of factors, including questionnaire responses, past voting records, ties to the physician community, staff recommendations, and previous endorsement status. The full list of endorsed candidates can be found here.
Additionally, the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) Board of Directors has voted to oppose Proposal 1, which asks voters whether to convene a constitutional convention. Further information can be found here.
