Updated MSMS HOD Resolution Submission Process
In an effort to make it easier to submit resolutions to the MSMS House of Delegates (HOD), MSMS is introducing a new submission process for 2026 and beyond.
You will no longer have to navigate the old online submission form. Instead, an editable resolution template has been uploaded to the MSMS HOD website for your use. Simply use the template when drafting or finalizing your resolution(s), save your resolution(s), and submit as an attachment(s) via email. To email, do either of the following:
- Click on “Submit a Resolution” under Additional House of Delegates Resources
- Send directly to MSMSHODResolutions@msms.org
Resolutions must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, February 23, 2026, in the template format to be considered on-time. Please note that all submissions MUST be correctly formatted using the template. Those that are incorrectly formatted will be returned for editing.
You will also find new detailed instructions on how to use the template, as well as updated guidance on How to Write a Resolution guidance on the MSMS HOD website.
On November 12, 2025, Bryan W. Huffman, MD, Speaker and Mildred J. Willy, MD, Vice Speaker announced the MSMS House of Delegates will be fully virtual and online in 2026. The change is intended to allow more physicians to participate in the policy making process and to reduce expenses of an in person meeting.

- Handbook Available – Friday, March 13, 2026
- Online Written Forum – March 13 – March 24, 2026
- Ways and Means and Officer Speeches – Thursday, March 19, 2026
- Reference Committee on Internal Affairs (C) – Wednesday, March 25, 2026
- Reference Committee on Payer and Legislative Advocacy (A and B) – Tuesday, March 31, 2026
- Reference Committee on Public Health and Education (D and E) – Monday, April 6, 2026
- Blue Report – Friday, April 10, 2026
- General session to act on the Reference Committee recommendations (the Blue Report) - Saturday, April 18, 2026
