Start Preparing for 2018 MIPS Reporting Now!
The deadline for 2018 MIPS reporting is April 2, 2019 at 8 pm (ET). While that may seem a long way off we all know how fast time flies! And, remember, the last day to collect your data is December 31 -- that's right around the corner!
At this point, you have about four months to get your data ready for submission. And before you submit, you need to make sure your EIDM account is set up and active.
Under MIPS, there are four performance categories that affect your future Medicare reimbursement payments. Each performance category is scored by itself and has a specific weight that is part of the MIPS Final Score. The payment adjustment assessed for MIPS eligible clinicians is based on this Final Score.
DID YOU KNOW??
You need an Enterprise Identity Management (EIDM) account to be able to submit your MIPS data to CMS. You must change your EIDM account password every 60 days to keep the account active. Also, your account will deactivate if you have not logged in for more than 180 days. If your account is deactivated, you need to contact the CMS Quality Payment Program Service Center by calling 1-866-288-8292 or emailing qpp@cms.hhs.gov so they can reinstate your account.
