Spring Scientific Meeting

This year’s Spring Scientific Meeting* will be held as a live virtual event with six 3-hour courses on April 7 - 8, May 12 - 13, and June 9 - 10 for a total of 18 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  All courses will be held from 8-11 am. Hear from local and national experts as they cover practice gaps in Endocrinology, Palliative Care, Allergy and Asthma, Infectious Diseases, and Lymphedema. April’s featured courses include “Updates in Endocrinology” and “Integrating the Eight Domains of Palliative Care into Primary Care.”

In the United States there are over 12 million adults and 400,000 children living with a serious illness.  
Palliative care is essential for all patients and their families who are suffering from serious illnesses.  Virginia Hosbach RN, MSN, Practice Transformation Institute, will present on integrating the eight domains of palliative care into the patient’s assessment and care management to improve the quality of life and quality of care provided.  Assisting patients and their families to maximize the time they have left through the support and direction of palliative care should be the goal of all practices.

Arti Bhan, MD, FACE, Division Head of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Bone and Mineral Disorders, at Henry Ford Health System, and her esteemed physician colleagues will present a 3-hour live virtual presentation on “Updates in Endocrinology.”  This course will cover best practices, barriers to optimal patient outcomes, and new approaches to the evaluation and management of complex and common endocrine disorders.  Presentations include:
