Saginaw/Bay City Physician Mildred J. Willy, MD, Re-Elected to Help Lead State Medical Society
Mildred J. Willy, MD, an emergency medicine physician practicing in Saginaw and Bay City, was re-elected to the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) Board of Directors during the 157th annual meeting of the MSMS House of Delegates held in Kalamazoo on April 30th.
A graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine, Doctor Willy will serve a three-year term on the MSMS Board representing physicians from Arenac, Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Isabella, Midland and Saginaw counties. The MSMS Board sets policies and oversees operations for the medical society headquartered in East Lansing.
Doctor Willy is the Associate Dean of Student Affairs at CMU College of Medicine. Appointed in 2019, Doctor Willy oversees student services, career advising, wellness, and professionalism. Doctor Willy has practiced emergency medicine for 23 years in the Great Lakes Bay Region at various hospitals and currently practices part-time at Ascension St. Mary’s of Michigan and MyMichigan Health. Doctor Willy is the immediate past-president of the Saginaw County Medical Society.
The Michigan State Medical Society is the statewide professional association operating as the voice of all physicians in Michigan and is affiliated with the American Medical Association. Physician policies on various issues involving public health, health care delivery and medical ethics are set at the annual MSMS House of Delegates meeting.
