Pediatricians launch reading fund-raiser for Flint kids
Michigan pediatricians are launching a fund-raising campaign to provide doctors in Flint with enough children’s books so that they can spot developmental issues as early as possible.
The effort, announced Thursday, seeks to expand the national Reach Out & Read program to Flint with the help of $180,000 in targeted donations. The campaign is run by the Michigan chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, or MIAAP.
