More about Palace Sports & Entertainment:
The Pistons, one of eight original NBA franchises, formed in 1941. The team moved to Detroit from Fort Wayne, Ind. in 1957 and earned its place as one of the city's prized professional sports franchises.
Davidson led the group that built the Pistons' home arena, The Palace of Auburn Hills, which opened in 1988. Among the largest in the NBA, the $90 million Palace was the first NBA arena financed entirely with private funds. It has more than 150 luxury suites.
In April 2011, Pollstar ranked The Palace as the second highest-selling arena in the U.S. and fourth in the world. In 2010, Pollstar ranked PS&E among only nine U.S. promoters with more than one million tickets sold.
The DTE Energy Music Theatre amphitheater in Clarkston, Mich. consistently ranks among the top-selling outdoor concert venues in the nation. The Meadow Brook Music Festival amphitheater on the campus of Oakland University is managed by PS&E and host roughly 30 concerts and events each summer.
