The Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) invites members to attend an upcoming History of Medicine presentation featuring Joel Howell, MD, PhD, Professor Emeritus of Internal Medicine and Medical History at the University of Michigan Medical School.
With more than 175 years of history, the University of Michigan Medical School has played a significant role in shaping modern medical education. This presentation will highlight many of the school’s groundbreaking contributions, while also examining moments when actions by students and faculty did not reflect the standards expected of physicians today. Together, these perspectives offer valuable insight into the evolution of medical training and professional responsibility.
