MSMS Grand Rounds Series: Henry Ford’s Vaccine Mandate
The Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) is continuing its Grand Rounds Live Webinar Series this month. Betty S. Chu, MD, MBA, will present on Henry Ford Health System’s COVID-19 vaccine requirement for all employees.
Most recently, MSMS President Pino D. Colone, MD, released a supportive statement on Henry Ford Health System’s mandate:
“Our fight against COVID-19 and its effects continues. Many have been vaccinated, and we have made great progress bringing life back to the way it was early last year. Still, COVID is not gone. In fact, it is changing and spreading and right now infecting an increasing number of people who, in most cases, have yet to be vaccinated.
“As we have throughout this pandemic, Michigan physicians stand with our colleagues throughout our state’s health and hospital systems, and we support their efforts to protect their staff and patients by requiring health system staff to be vaccinated.
“The vaccine is safe, it works, and is needed to protect both patients and vital medical staff.”
The live webinar format allows physicians and their peers the opportunity to ask questions. The Grand Rounds Live Webinar Series is a continuation of the Tele-Town Hall Series on COVID-19 that MSMS produced throughout 2020. Grand Rounds’ topics vary each month and include timely information on topics important to physicians in 2021.
