MSMS Foundation’s A Day of Board of Medicine Renewal Requirements Conference
Let MSMS be your resource to earn the mandated Michigan Board of Medicine CME Requirements all in one day. This conference fulfills LARA's requirement for three hours in the area of pain and symptom management (meets the new one hour minimum of controlled substance prescribing training), one hour in the area of medical ethics, and one-time human trafficking. It also fulfills the new (effective January 4, 2019) one-time license requirement for opioids and other controlled substances awareness training standards for prescribers and dispensers of controlled substances.
Carl Christensen, MD, PhD, D-FASM, FACOG, cMRO will begin the conference with a presentation on pain and symptom management. Doctor Christensen is a board certified in Addiction Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology. He specializes in caring for pregnant addicted women at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. He has practiced Addiction Medicine since 2002 and is the past Chairman of the Michigan Society of Addiction Medicine and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He is the Medical Director of the Michigan Health Professional Recovery Program and its past Chairman. He is also the Medical Director of Dawn Farm Treatment Center in Ann Arbor.
