MSMS Foundation: Monday Night Medicine - May 24, Creating a Manageable Cockpit for Clinicians

Join us on Monday, May 24, 6:30 -8:00 pm for the second topic in our series “Creating a Manageable Cockpit for Clinicians,” presented by Doctor Christine Sinsky.  Doctor Sinsky is Vice President of Professional Satisfaction at the American Medical Association.  A Board-certified internist, she practiced at Medical Associates Clinic in Dubuque, Iowa for 32 years.  Doctor Sinsky is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the ABIM Foundation, serving as Chair from 2018-2020.  Doctor Sinsky has worked to improve opportunities for joy, purpose and meaning in work.  Publications on “The Quadruple Aim, “Joy in Practice, “Texting while Doctoring” and “Creating a Manageable Cockpit for Clinicians” have contributed to the national conversation.  She has also contributed to research regarding the prevalence, drivers and solutions to burnout among physicians.

The final presentation of our spring/summer three part series will be held on Monday, June 7, 6:30 – 8:00 pm with Doctor’s Eunice Yu, Emmanuel Dizon and Doree Ann Espiritu presenting on “100% Virtual Collaborative Care for Behavioral Health Outcomes.”  Doctor Yu practices internal medicine at Henry Ford Health System.  She supports value-based programs in primary care including collaborative behavioral health and is acting Medical Director for the Henry Ford COVID Recovery Care Plan.  She completed her medical degree from the University of Michigan and residency at John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.  Doctor Dizon practices internal medicine at Henry Ford Health System.  He is also currently the supervising physician for internal medicine at the Henry Ford Medical Center in Dearborn, MI.  He has worked enthusiastically to implement some of the collaborative care initiatives in the primary care space, specifically serving as one of the primary care champions for the Behavioral Health integration program.  He completed his medical degree at the University of Michigan and residency at Henry Ford Health.  Doctor Espiritu is the Medical Director of the Behavioral Health Services Adult Outpatient Division and the Service Chief of Psychiatry of the Henry Ford Health West Bloomfield Hospital.  She co-led the spread of the Behavioral Health Integration with Primary Care (BHI) initiative which is now in 28 sites.  She is board-certified in both Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry.  In addition to her administrative role, she maintains an active practice seeing adult and geriatric patients in the outpatient setting and in long-term care settings.
