The Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) Foundation serves as the nonprofit charitable organization of MSMS and is dedicated to advancing the field of health for the public good. The Foundation guides philanthropic efforts to strengthen the medical community and public welfare across Michigan.

During the spring grant cycle, funding was awarded to support the Michigan State Medical Society Alliance for their upcoming conference on Heat Health. The program will explore measuring urban heat islands using drone technology and how this may guide solutions to reduce the health impact of extreme heat events in the future.
