MSMS and County Dues Billing for 2027

MSMS banner

As a part of the Reorganization plan recently approved by the House of Delegates, mandatory membership in MSMS and the county medical society has been eliminated.  Physicians can choose to join MSMS, their county medical society or both.

Because of this change, your MSMS and county dues process will look different this year.  MSMS has committed to billing for the counties through the 2027 dues cycle, which ends on March 31, 2027.  However, some counties have decided to bill separately for 2027.

If you belong to the following County Medical Societies, you will receive an email from MSMS with two invoices, one for MSMS, and one for your county.  One or both of these should be returned to MSMS for remittance.

  • Bay
  • Grand Traverse
  • Houghton/Baraga/Keweenaw
  • Macomb
  • Muskegon
  • St Clair

If you belong to the following county medical societies, you will receive one email from MSMS with your MSMS dues invoice, and another communication and invoice from your county.  Each dues payment should be sent to the corresponding association.

  • Genesee
  • Ingham
  • Jackson
  • Kent
  • Oakland
  • Saginaw
  • Wayne
  • Washtenaw

If you belong to a county not listed above, your county is not charging dues for 2027.

As MSMS and the counties transition from financially linked organizations, all will continue working together to best represent the interests of physicians in advocacy, education and services.  We encourage physicians to remain active members of MSMS and their local society.
