In Memoriam: MSMS regrets to report the recent passing of Peter T. Muller, MD

Doctor Muller pursued a career in medicine at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, where he discovered his passion for pediatrics.  He completed his residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and went on to found the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine in Troy.  As a pediatrician, Doctor Muller was deeply respected for his skill, his empathy, and his unwavering dedication to his patients.  He cared for countless children, including many with complex disabilities, always offering their families both comfort and expert care.

Over the course of his career, Doctor Muller was an active member of the Oakland County Medical Society and MSMS.  He ably served as an Oakland County Delegate to the MSMS House of Delegates and member of the MSMS Board of Directors.  He also represented physicians on the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Board of Directors. 

MSMS President, Amit Ghose, MD, shares “Doctor Muller was an integral part of MSMS for many years.  He was tireless in his advocacy work.  Always leading with his heart, for physicians and patients.  We will miss our colleague and friend.” 

Doctor Muller was preceded in death by his loving wife and life partner, Ginny.  He is survived by his children Adam, Taran, Kate, and Christopher and by his grandchildren, Wylie, Verity, and Evelyn. View Doctor Muller’s obituary.
