ME/CFS, Long COVID, and Fibromyalgia (.75 CME)

Join Lucinda Bateman, MD, Founder and Medical Director, Bateman Horne Center for Excellence from 12:00 – 12:45 pm for a comprehensive, clinically grounded overview of ME/CFS, Long COVID, Fibromyalgia, and related post-infectious conditions.  Drawing on emerging research and years of clinical experience, Doctor Bateman will review current definitions, prevalence, and risk factors for Long COVID and ME/CFS, with particular attention to post-exertional malaise, orthostatic intolerance, and common comorbid conditions such as mast cell activation.  The session will emphasize practical diagnostic frameworks, evidence-informed management strategies, and accommodations that can improve function-based outcomes and quality of life for affected patients in primary care and specialty settings.

From Career to Retirement - Building Long Term Financial Wellness for Physicians (no CME)

This session will provide physicians with practical strategies to strengthen long‑term financial wellness from early career through retirement.  From 1:00 – 2:00 pm,  Justin Cohen, CFP, CPFA, Financial Advisor and Relationship Manager, CAPTRUST and Cameron Tinsley, CFP, Vice President and Financial Advisor, CAPTRUST will explore effective savings techniques to help maximize tax-deferred opportunities through qualified retirement plans.  They will also cover key distribution strategies for a tax-efficient transition into retirement, ensuring your investments stay aligned with your evolving goals.
