The Michigan Doctors’ Political Action Committee (MDPAC) invites physicians to attend a fundraiser Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) headquarters, 1305 Abbot Road, East Lansing. The event will feature State Representative Angela Witwer, Minority Vice Chair of the House Health Policy Committee and former Chair of the House Appropriations Committee. Attendees will hear directly from Representative Witwer about the importance of physician involvement in Michigan’s election and legislative processes and connect with fellow physicians engaged in the issues affecting medicine.

As Election Day draws nearer, candidates are often in the position of needing every penny to chase absentee ballots, pay for last-minute mailers, and support other get-out-the-vote efforts. That makes the calls for monetary support ever more constant and necessary. The Michigan Doctors’ PAC, in addition to its endorsements, makes donations to candidates and legislators MDPAC considers supportive of physicians and medicine. By working to ensure those who support physicians win their seats, physicians are better positioned to build relationships and advance important policy initiatives.
