HRM Services - Addressing Employee Concerns and Fears Surrounding the Coronavirus Vaccine
Now that both Pfizer and Moderna have received emergency use authorization from the FDA to distribute their vaccines in the U.S., employers, especially those in the healthcare industry, are having to address employee hesitancy and concern over the vaccines’ safety and efficacy. It is important to address these fears with factual, evidence-based information if we want voluntary vaccination numbers to be high enough to reach herd immunity and halt the pandemic.
To aid physicians in this endeavor, HRM Services use this video to discuss three common concerns they have heard over and over again and the information physicians can share with their employees to address each of these within their workplace:
- Distrust of the expedited vaccine development/approval process,
- Skepticism regarding mRNA vaccines vs. traditional vaccines, and
- Fear of long-term health risks associated with the vaccines.
