As rhetoric surrounding the midterm elections intensifies, the Michigan Doctors’ Political Action Committee (MDPAC) remains focused on supporting candidates who will advocate for Michigan’s physicians and patients. Over the past week, MDPAC has contributed $10,000 to a bipartisan group of candidates running for the Michigan House and Senate. These contributions support candidates endorsed by the MDPAC Board. View the full list of endorsed candidates here.
Equally important, MDPAC encourages all physicians to make their voices heard by voting. Physicians who plan to vote absentee can still return their ballots, but local clerks are encouraging voters to use secure ballot drop boxes rather than relying on the mail to ensure ballots arrive by the 8 p.m. Election Day deadline. Absentee ballots should be placed in their signed envelopes and returned to the designated secure drop box in the voter’s city or township.
The deadline to register to vote online or by mail was Monday, October 19, 2026. However, in-person voter registration remains available at a voter’s city or township clerk’s office through Election Day. Voters can find specific polling locations through the Michigan Voter Information Center.
