A Day of Board of Medicine Renewal Requirements
Let the MSMS Foundation be your source to receive your mandated Michigan Board of Medicine CME - all in one day, Friday, September 23, 8:30 am – 4:15 pm at the Marriott East Lansing.
Michael Redinger, MD, MA, will kick-off the afternoon with a presentation titled “Legal and Ethical Issues in ED Boarding of Psychiatric Patients.” Doctor Redinger is an Associate Professor at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine (WMed). He is dually appointed in the Department of Medical Ethics, Humanities, and Law, for which he serves as Co-Chair, and the Department of Psychiatry. For the Department of Psychiatry, he directs the WMed outpatient psychiatry clinic. He also serves as the Young Physician Section representative on the Michigan State Medical Society Board of Directors, as an Alternate Delegate from Michigan to the American Medical Association, and as the Inaugural Unit Head of the WMed Unit of the International Network of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics.

This conference fulfills LARA’s requirement for three hours in the area of pain and symptom management (meets the one hour minimum of controlled substance prescribing training), one hour in the area of medical ethics, and three hours of implicit bias training.
MSMS Foundation will hold this conference again on Friday, November 4, 8:30 am – 4:15 pm at the Sheraton Ann Arbor.
