COVID-19 Cases are Rising: Make a Plan

The COVID-19 forecast shows cases are rising in parts of Michigan. It is important that everyone make a plan to protect themselves and their family.

Help spread the word by sharing these tips and the graphic above (click graphic to download from the Michigan COVID-19 website):

  • Check the CDC map regularly to see if you are residing or traveling to a medium- or high-risk county.
  • Make sure you are up-to-date on vaccines, including the COVID-19 vaccine and boosters;
  • Have masks and over-the-counter tests on hand.
  • Speak to your physician ahead of time to find out if you qualify for treatments if you are infected.
  • Test at home or at a test site near you if you have symptoms or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, and stay home if they are ill.
  • In addition to testing before and after travel, MDHHS encourages residents to test ahead of group celebrations and gatherings, especially when events may include family and friends who have increased vulnerability to COVID-19 infection. A feature on the COVID-19 test finder lists wait times for many testing sites across the state, and many options exist for free at-home testing.
