The Annual Rudi Ansbacher, MD, Resident and Fellow; and Student Abstract Research Poster Symposium

The Michigan State Medical Society Foundation honored memory of Rudi Ansbacher, MD, as a former member of the MSMS and MSMS Foundation Board of Directors by dedicating the Annual Scientific Meeting poster competition in his name. His life touched many through an over 50-year career as a teacher, mentor, and clinician.

Doctor Ansbacher graduated from Culver Military Academy. He received his BA degree from Virginia Military Institute; his MD degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine; and his MS from the University of Michigan. He completed an internship at the University of Virginia Hospital and residencies at Womack Army Hospital in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and at Letterman General Hospital in San Francisco, California. After his training, he became a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan Medical Center, and served as Assistant Chairman of the department, Acting Chairman, and interim Chairman.

In honor of his memory and commitment to medical education, the Annual Rudi Ansbacher, MD, Resident and Fellow; and Student Research Poster Symposium was held on Wednesday, October 24 and Thursday, October 25, at the Sheraton in Novi. The following awards were presented on Friday, October 26, at the William Beaumont
