RESOLVED: That the Michigan State Medical Society endorse Vitamin D testing and treatment for Public Health as consistent with The Future of Medicine goals on Wellness (Obesity) and Primary Care Improvement; and be it further RESOLVED: That Michigan State Medical Society promote initiatives to address the Epidemic of Vitamin D Deficiency within the Department of Community Health in the State of Michigan; and be it further RESOLVED: That MSMS educational programs continue to provide information to members about the benefits of testing and treating Vitamin D deficiency; and be it further RESOLVED: That Michigan Delegation ask the AMA to carry forward the results of these efforts to national attention, as results from the Future of Medicine initiatives become available for The Treatment of Vitamin D Deficiency in Michigan.
