RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to lobby the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and other agencies to establish a centralized command and coordinating system to decide vaccine priorities; and be it further RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to help establish a system to thoroughly evaluate state and local preparedness of vaccine distribution and administration strategy in pandemic situations in the future. RATIONALE: The Committee appreciated and agreed with the testimony. Vaccine distribution has long been an issue of frustration, especially for small physician practices. However, the Committee believed the intent of this resolution can be found in existing AMA policy (H-440.896, H-440.877) and recommended no action.
