RESOLVED: That MSMS work to convey to all interested parties that physicians be fairly and adequately compensated for the acquisition, training, and implementation of electronic systems for health records, e-prescribing, and quality data collection with payments made with additional funds, not just set aside as part of “pay-for-performance” participation; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to pursue legislative and regulatory efforts to adequately compensate physician practices for implementation of and ongoing support for electronic systems in their offices.
