RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to expand its existing study of the ways to reduce waste in the health care sector so that the trend of increasing health care costs over the years could be reversed.RATIONALE: The Committee conceptually agreed with the intent of resolution. In light of ongoing efforts by the AMA to study health care costs, the Committee elected to modify the language to lend support to the continuation and expansion of such efforts.
