RESOLVED: That MSMS work with appropriate stakeholders to encourage hospice care providers to address with patients and/or families of patients embarking on hospice care the importance of resolving any outstanding estate planning issues including those issues pertaining to last wills and testaments.RATIONALE: There was limited testimony on this resolution, and the original author was not present. Although the Committee was supportive of the spirit of the resolution, the Committee believed the resolution was vague and that there may be unforeseen ethical and legal concerns.
