RESOLVED: That MSMS engage the State of Michigan to develop comprehensive rules for water testing, flushing, monitoring, and filtration, oversight and remediation for schools and school districts in Michigan; and be it further RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the American Medical Association (AMA) ask our AMA to pursue updating of the regulation of water in schools consistent with the process outlined for the State of Michigan; and be it further RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the American Medical Association (AMA) ask our AMA to pursue changes to the federal lead and copper rules, recognizing that there is no safe level of metal contaminants in water.
