RESOLVED: That MSMS pursue and support legislation to require runners or joggers (specifically, any pedestrians moving a distance of 50 yards or greater in the street) to wear brightly colored, lighted, or reflective clothing while in the street.REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Committee understands the good intentions behind this resolution but finds it to be too broad and essentially unenforceable. The Committee suggests that those interested resubmit a resolution at the 2010 House of Delegates about patient safety in traffic areas.
