RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to work with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to devise risk stratification or payment tiers to address unavoidable complications of hospital stay or interventions that are currently included in the Medicare ‘no-pay’ list.REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Committee felt that AMA policy (H-185.949) already provides a mechanism to address the concerns expressed in the resolution.
