RESOLVED: That MSMS express its concern and work with the appropriate state agencies to educate the public about potential child safety hazards of recalled items being offered for sale in second-hand and resale stores.RATIONALE: The Committee felt that it was inappropriate to criminalize the reselling of recalled merchandise and felt that public education would be more effective.
