RESOLVED: That MSMS oppose hospital medical staff policy that mandates all physicians of a particular age undergo physical and neuropsychological exams in order to remain on staff; and be it further RESOLVED: That MSMS encourage hospital medical staffs to institute a policy by which a physician who demonstrates signs of impairment be referred to an independent physician committee that would refer the physician for an appropriate examination as dictated by pre-determined criteria and a majority vote of the committee.
