RESOLVED: That MSMS will support the Michigan Department of Community Health, health care providers, researchers and other involved parties via the necessary legislative channels to implement the concept making the report of a maternal death a mandatory step for individuals or institutions that participate in the National Vital Statistics System (NVSS) and the Michigan Maternal Mortality Surveillance.
