RESOLVED: That MSMS reinvigorate the use of its communication vehicles to help physicians understand the importance of including chemical sensitivity in the differential diagnosis, as well as taking a history focused on exposures to toxins and symptoms related to known toxins and related testing; and be it further RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the American Medical Association (AMA) ask our AMA to reinvigorate the use of its communication vehicles to make physicians nationally aware of the process of haptenation and sensitization and their multiple ramifications, as well as to help physicians teach patients methods to avoid exposure to haptens, and to help physicians include chemical sensitivity in the differential diagnosis, take a history focused on exposures to toxins and symptoms related to known toxins and testing.
