RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to create a CPT code that will allow reimbursement by payers for medication changes required by a formulary change. REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The original resolved asked the Insurance Commissioner to create this code; however, the Insurance Commissioner does not create reimbursement codes. Since the AMA CPT Editorial Panel creates procedure codes, the Committee amended the resolved to refer this issue to the AMA.
