RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the American Medical Association (AMA) ask our AMA to recommend that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services change their policy to allow reimbursement for services if the supervising physician is present for the key portions of all procedures performed by residents whether considered minor or major.
