RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to work to ensure the granting of J1 and H1 Visas for the length of the residency program. REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Committee heard testimony that if the AMA ensures granting of J1 Visas and H1 Visas for the length of residency, that there would be less of an issue granting medical licenses. Therefore, the Committee completely removed the second resolved portion of the original resolution.
