RESOLVED: That MSMS establish policy encouraging that physicians seated on hospital boards of trustees be elected to their position by the hospital medical staffmembers.RATONALE: The Committee heard a lot of testimony that this was a good idea. However, this could only be accomplished by an amendment to the hospital licensingprovisions of Michigan’s Public Health Code.
