RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA request that our AMA work with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other payers to include the payment for Tdap vaccination for all infant caregivers, particularly in perinatal setting.RATIONALE: There was overwhelming support during testimony for this resolution. During discussions, members of the Committee could only see that this resolution is good common sense, especially with the rise of Pertussis in the state. More and more people continue to receive the vaccination for this disease, including those who will be offering care to those most vulnerable. The correct measure to take, we support this resolution.
