RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to endorse the concept of equitable payment for emergency department coverage; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to work with the American Hospital Association to require hospitals that pay certain specialists for emergency department coverage be mandated to pay all specialists for emergency department coverage.REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Committee recognized that the AMA has several policies addressing emergency on-call physician issues.
