RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to explain to the chiefs of staff of hospitals and executive directors of organized medical groups the significance of medical staff participation in organized medicine; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to seriously encourage the chiefs of staff of hospitals and executive directors of organized medical groups to appoint a representative (by election or selection, according to their by-laws) to attend the OMSS-AMA Annual Meeting and then communicate information back to members of their medical staff.REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The first resolved was amended so that the Michigan Delegation to the AMA is not restricted in its communications with the AMA.
