RESOLVED: That MSMS institute proceedings to form a regulatory body, be it governmental, private, insurance-based, or combinations thereof, to require, inspect, and review office invasive procedures and sedation for the welfare of the patients involved with requirements to ensure adequate training of the providers to include updated knowledge of CPR, adequate equipment on the premises such as monitors and defibrillators, and transparency of review of such procedures.REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: Based on the testimony, the Committee felt that there are many aspects of this resolution that have not been considered. The Committee referred this resolution to the Board to allow MSMS to thoroughly resolve this issue.
