RESOLVED: That MSMS add to its present list of prohibitions in resident selection the name of the candidates’ medical school; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to lobby the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) to include the names of the candidates’ medical schools in their list of discriminations prohibited.REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Committee was in full support of the spirit of this resolution; however, they felt that there is already existing AMA policy opposing discrimination, based on international medical graduate status.
