RESOLVED: That MSMS support legislation that would mandate chain restaurants in Michigan to post calorie counts on their menus and displays. REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Reference Committee supports the addition of calorie counts to the existing MSMS policy (15-08A) that MSMS work with the legislature and MDCH to implement a strategy for restaurants with menu items common to multiple locations to provide standard nutrition labels available for public viewing.
