RESOLVED: That MSMS support legislation that would allow utilization of the Amber Alert system for missing senior citizens.RATIONALE: The Committee was provided with an example of the effectiveness of the Amber Alert system in locating missing children. Additionally, the Committee heard examples of potential situations involving seniors that would benefit from a similar statewide alert. To the extent that this program could be initiated without diminishing the effectiveness of the Amber Alert System for children, the Committee was supportive of this resolution.
