RESOLVED: That MSMS honor Doctor John G. Wiegenstein’s memory by strongly encouraging the MSU Development Fund to work with physician organizations in developing an endowed chair in his name at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine; and be it further RESOLVED: That MSMS strongly encourage the MSU Development Fund to work withphysician organizations to develop a medical scholarship for students at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine who enter the specialty of emergency medicine to preserve the legacy of Doctor John G. Wiegenstein and his amazing gift to the world of medicine. RATIONALE: The Committee heard testimony to support this resolution and amended it to involve the MSU Development Fund, as appropriate.
