RESOLVED: Our MSMS will support giving the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services the authority to negotiate on behalf of Medicare Part D beneficiaries; and be it further (as per D-330.954); and be it further RESOLVED: Our MSMS will support the elimination of Medicare negotiation prohibition of covered Medicare drugs; and be it further as per AMA Policy; and be it further RESOLVED: Our MSMS will prioritize its support for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to negotiate pharmaceutical pricing for all applicable medications covered by CMS; and be it further; and be it further RESOLVED: Our MSMS will support initiatives taken by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation to develop new payment and service delivery models addressing drug price negotiation; and be it further; and be it further RESOLVED: The Michigan delegation shall file a General Council Action Item to strengthen AMA lobbying efforts in accordance with AMA policy D-330.954 and in support of the H.R. 275 before the 116th Congress
