RESOLVED: That MSMS encourage Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and other Medicare Advantage Contractors to establish administrative and payment policies to support physicians efforts to provide continuous, uninterrupted care to their patients without any interference by insurance companies and their contracted agents; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That MSMS work with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and other Medicare Advantage Contractors to recognize that PCMH is the most appropriate arrangement to provide longitudinal, continuous, cost-effective care to high-risk patients; and to compensate Patient Centered Medical Home-designated practices sufficiently for their efforts.
