RESOLVED: That MSMS seek legislation that would establish a medical review panel of both physicians and attorneys to validate the merit of malpractice cases before said cases are filed with the court.RATIONALE: Any potential improvements to the medical liability system in Michigan should be done in a way that does not jeopardize existing tort reforms, such as the affidavit of merit.
