RESOLVED: That the MSMS urge the AMA to support the labeling of over the counter vitamin supplements containing beta-carotene to warn smokers to first ask their physician before taking them. RATIONALE: The Committee did not receive testimony on this resolution and felt that with all of the information it had been presented within the Committee, it was not in a position to take action on this resolution.
